Relay is a standalone single that originated earlier this year (2021) during the always awkward transition of Winter and Spring. A back and forth that is consistently unpredictable. That handoff or tug is equally frustrating and inspiring, and while the music has nothing to do with weather, it has everything to do with the lifestyle sometimes dictated by our environment. There's repetition, but occasional moments of unique breakthroughs. Internal change is as much at play as the external.

Throughout the year, Relay evolved over weeks of change and weeks of sameness. And now that it is out in the world, the song won't change, but we all will.
